Panama Adjusts Its B/.100 Million Earthquake Emergency Trust

On 28 October, Panama’s Cabinet approved amendments allowing the Ministry of Economy and Finance to administer and authorise resources under the earthquake emergency trust. The trust provides for up to B/.100 million in special procurement for response and reconstruction activities, subject to budget availability, contract requirements and oversight.
