Panama Directs Support Towards Communities Affected by the Earthquake

Panama continued responding to the earthquake that struck earlier in October, with government updates during the week describing humanitarian assistance and support for affected communities. On 15 October, the government reported that more than 465 tonnes of humanitarian aid had been delivered to affected households. Public agencies, engineering consultants and service providers may find opportunities in emergency logistics, housing reconstruction and infrastructure assessments. The reported aid volume refers to humanitarian assistance delivered, not the value of a procurement contract.
